Professor of Physics, Cornell University. Krumhansl received his bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton in 1939, his master's degree from Case Institute in 1940, and his doctorate from Cornell in 1943. He was an assistant professor at Cornell from 1948-1950 and an associate professor from 1950-1954 and then left to become the associate director of research with Union Carbide.
